Article 1.  Name

This organization is named Asia Digital Arts and Design Association International and is abbreviated as ADADA International.

Article 2.  Purpose

The aim of this alliance is to develop academic cooperation and establish a theoretical method of media art and design created by the rich harmony of art sense and human logical thinking based on media technology. Further, it aims to use our distinctive ethnic and cultural identities to explore common problems as we contribute to developing academic research and industry in Asia.

Article 3.  Activities

This organization is constituted from each represented association of Asian countries as stated in Article 4 and act for the purpose of Article 2 as follows:

  1. Publish international journals electronically four times per year.
    1. Hold international conferences and symposia annually.
      1. Hold international exhibitions and media art festivals.
        1. Award prizes such as the ADADA Special Prize, Research Encouragement Prize, Annual Paper Prize, and Digital Art Award.
          1. Cooperate with relevant associations, conferences, and institutions domestically and internationally.
            1. Promote cooperation between academia and industry.

              Article 4.  Members
              Members shall consist of the following categories:

              1. Alliance Members: Organizations that join ADADA International.An organization may apply for Alliance Membership through its representative, who must be an individual member of ADADA Members. Alliance Members are entitled to the benefits defined by the association.
                1. ADADA Members (Individual Members): Individuals who join the association by creating an account through the ADADA system.

                  Article 5.  Fees

                  No admission fee or annual membership fee shall be required for membership in this association. Publication fees for journals and proceedings may be charged. Participation fees for conferences, exhibitions, and other events shall be determined by the respective organizers. The details of such fees shall be announced separately.

                  Article 6.  Executive members

                  This organization shall have the following executive members:

                  1. President– one person from ADADA Members who has made significant contributions to ADADA
                    1. Vice Presidents– a few persons from ADADA Members
                      1. International Board Members– persons nominated from each alliance member country to represent regional activities
                        1. Editorial Chair– one person elected from ADADA Members
                          1. Vice Editorial Chair– one person supporting the Editorial Chair
                            1. Editors– a number of persons responsible for editorial operations
                              1. Executive Director – one person appointed by the President

                                All executive members shall serve on a voluntary basis and shall receive no remuneration.

                                • The President represents the association, oversees all activities, and presides over executive meetings.
                                  • The Vice Presidents support the President and act on behalf of the President when necessary.
                                    • The International Board Members promote regional collaboration, coordinate alliance activities in their respective countries, and contribute to international expansion.
                                      • The Editorial Chair supervises all editorial activities, including journals and proceedings.
                                        • The Vice Editorial Chair assists the Editorial Chair and acts in their place when necessary.
                                          • The Editors manage peer review, editing processes, and publication workflows.
                                            • The Executive Director manages administrative operations and the secretariat under the direction of the President.

                                              Article 7.  Selection and Appointment of Executive Members

                                              The President shall be elected from candidates nominated by the International Board Members and/or Alliance Members. The election shall be conducted by the International Board Members. The President shall be selected by a majority vote of the International Board Members. In the event of a tie, the decision shall be made by the current President.

                                              Article 8.  Board meeting

                                              1. The annual executive board meeting is held once a year, and the President may convene special meetings when necessary.
                                                1. The quorum for an executive board meeting shall be two-thirds of the total members, including those holding proxy votes.
                                                  1. The decision of the executive board meeting is made according to a majority vote of more than half of the members in attendance (including holders of proxy votes).
