Fair Submission, Fair Review

Following Submission Guidelines Is Part of Academic Publishing
As the ADADA community continues to grow internationally, we are delighted to receive submissions from an increasingly diverse range of authors. At the same time, we would like to remind all authors of an important principle of academic publishing: following the submission guidelines is part of the submission process itself.
Requirements such as anonymization, page limits, prescribed templates, and required information are not unique to ADADA. Major international conferences and journals similarly require authors to comply with their submission rules, and non-compliant submissions may be rejected without peer review (often called a “Desk Reject”).
In particular, for double-blind review, removing author names and other identifying information is not merely a formatting preference. It is an essential requirement for maintaining a fair review process.
At ADADA, the Submission Guidelines clearly state the requirements and the possibility of Desk Reject for non-compliant submissions. Authors are also asked to confirm their compliance before completing their submission. These rules are applied consistently to all submissions, regardless of the authors or institutions involved.
A Desk Reject does not mean that the research itself has been judged to be of insufficient quality. It simply means that the submitted manuscript did not satisfy the administrative or formatting requirements necessary to enter the peer-review process.
As our community grows, we want to maintain a review process that is fair, transparent, and sustainable for both authors and reviewers. Before submitting, please take a few minutes to carefully review the Submission Guidelines and check your final PDF.
Thank you for helping us maintain a fair and professional international academic community.
