ADADA+CUMULUS2026

The ADADA+CUMULUS Conference 2026 will be held at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Ganesa Campus, in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. We warmly invite researchers, designers, artists, educators, practitioners, and students to submit their work and participate in this international forum for digital art and design.

The International Conference on Asia Digital Art and Design is a long-standing conference that has been held for over two decades, focusing on the intersection of art, design, and digital technologies. The conference brings together researchers, designers, artists, educators, and students to present novel works, exchange innovative ideas, and discuss the future development of digital art and design in Asia and beyond.

ADADA+CUMULUS 2026 invites original and unpublished submissions, including research papers, art papers, demos, posters, and works-in-progress. Submissions may address a wide range of topics related to digital art, design, media, technology, culture, education, creative practice, and emerging forms of digital creativity.

Reimagining Digital Art and Design in the Age of AI: Creativity, Culture, Ethics, and Emerging Technologies

In the age of AI, digital art and design are being reshaped by new forms of intelligence, automation, and creative possibility. Yet, the future of creativity cannot be defined by technology alone. It must also be questioned through human imagination, cultural values, ethical awareness, and the diverse ways people create meaning through art and design.

AI is neither simply a threat nor a miracle solution. It challenges artists, designers, educators, and researchers to rethink authorship, originality, agency, craft, collaboration, and cultural representation. Rather than rejecting or glorifying AI, this theme invites the ADADA community to ask together: what kinds of digital creativity do we want to shape for the future?

Reimagining Digital Art and Design in the Age of AI calls upon artists, designers, educators, researchers, and technologists to explore creativity, culture, ethics, and emerging technologies as interconnected forces. Through critical dialogue and creative experimentation, Asia’s digital art and design community can contribute not only to the adoption of AI, but to the imagination of more meaningful, responsible, and culturally grounded futures.
