Celebrating a growing community in digital art and design

On October 11, 2026, the Asia Digital Art and Design Association (ADADA) surpassed 1,000 members. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every member, partner, and supporter who has helped our community grow.

For more than two decades, ADADA has brought together artistic sensibility, logical thinking, and media technology, supporting research and exchange while embracing Asia’s diverse cultural perspectives.

Our journey of international exchange began with the first ADADA conference in 2002. In 2004, we launched the International Journal of Asia Digital Art and Design. The journal moved to online publication through J-STAGE in 2012 and has been indexed in Scopus since 2020, strengthening the international reach of our community’s research. Our partnership with Cumulus, established in 2018, has further expanded opportunities for exchange through our international conferences.

The launch of myADADA in 2024 marked another step in developing our membership platform. In 2025, conference proceedings began to be published as open access on J-STAGE, making research findings more widely accessible.

Passing 1,000 members is a milestone we share with everyone who has contributed to ADADA. Behind this number are individual contributions to research, creative practice, education, and dialogue—and new possibilities for collaboration.

As we look ahead, we will continue to build a welcoming space where people can learn from one another across countries, cultures, and disciplines. To our longstanding members and those joining us for the first time: thank you for being part of this journey.

Over 1,000 members. A shared future of creativity and discovery.
