Registration:

Qualification for presentation:

• Membership is required for the First Author (or the presenter).
  To sign up for ADADA membership, plese visit the web site of ADADA.
  We have a discount for students.

Registration Fee:

• Besides the membership fee, conference registration and paper/case presentation fees are required.
  * The cost of "welcome party"(1,000 JPY) is included in registration fees *

Presentation Style

There will be two types of presetntation style.

Paper Presentation (Oral presentation, Talk session)

Both design research and design case papers are welcome. The result of design cases must meet the scholarly standard of needs. Design process must have clear and logical consistency, and the released date of the case must be within the last 3 years.
• Each presentation is 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes discussion (subject to change).
• Presentation language is English.
  • Q&A/discussion may held in the presenter's native language.

Submission

Paper Presentation

On-line submission: From Oct. 13th to 0:00 Nov. 4 th, 2009(JST) DELAYED
• The paper (proceeding) must be written in English. No need to submit manuscript in two languages. English only.
• Use the template file (links below), and fill in 2-4 pages, according to the guideline.

Guideline for writing proceeding paper

• Size & pages: A4 size (297 mm long and 210 mm wide), from 2 to up to 4 pages.
  
  
• Description (First page):The first page of the manuscript should contain, title, subtitle (if needed), author information, (author name(s), affiliation(s), e-mail address(es) ), Keywords (three words), and Abstract.
  
  
• Keywords:Describe three keywords in English, which would represent your paper.
  
  
• Abstract:(Regardless of the language of the main text) Abstract should be written in English. It should be a summary to conciseness as for the content of your paper without quoting the text. Please write abstract more than 80% of the first page. The main text should start from the second page.
  
  
• Main text- Indices, levels: Please classify the contents of full paper under the followings: big headlines, chapters, medium headlines, sections, subheads, paragraphs. Besides, please describe your manuscript arranging the division as following: introduction, method, discussion, summary, conclusion, and etc.
  
  
• Main text- Fonts:Please use the following fonts. Helvetica Medium(for title, subtitle, first author and coauthors, email address, institutional affiliation), Times Roman (for the main text and the caption of figures and tables).
  
  
• Figures and tables: You must insert figure/table(s) in between texts. Number the figure/tables in the ordered sequences (Figure 1, Figure 2, Table 1-1, Table 1-2, etc.). Pay close attention to line thickness of the table/graphs and legibility of texts within the table. Insert printable images. Please be sure that your figures are easy to be seen with gray-scale printing. Some colors (e.g. Yellow) would result in very low contrast in the booklet (especially for the charts/graphs).Captions for figures should be arranged at the bottom of the figure, and captions for tables shoud be arranged at the top.
  
  
• References: References/citations should be given in the text by bracketed numbers, with list of references at the end of the article.
